New poets and old hands, all are welcome to join us! The Valley Winds chapter meets twice a month on the 2nd Wednesday and on the last Wednesday of each month. For most meetings, we will be at the Murray Library, 2150 East Murray-Holladay Rd. (4730 South), Murray, Utah 84117, from 6:30 pm to 8:45 pm. We spend the majority of each meeting listening to and critiquing each others' poems. Bring copies of a poem you’d like to share. Some sessions start with a well-regarded local poet providing tips and lessons on writing poetry. These lessons are normally announced ahead of time via a meeting reminder email. Let the chapter president know if you want to be added to the mailing list.
Exceptions to our normal twice-monthly meetings for 2018 are:
- August summer potluck picnic (location TBD)
- December 11 holiday dinner (restaurant TBD)
- December 25 (because of the holidays)
